n this week’s paint-along, we’re creating a simple beach dunes scene using acrylic paint and a Stabilo pencil on acrylic paper.
I’ll show you how I build up the composition with loose sketch lines and layers of paint to suggest movement, texture, and light. It’s a relaxed painting with room to explore and experiment—great for beginners or anyone looking to keep their creative momentum going.
Materials I used:
Acrylic paper (or mixed media paper)
Acrylic paint (Paint Colors Used: Light Magenta, Flourescent Magenta, Green Gold, Sap Green, Hansa Yellow, Yellow Ocher, Teal, Titan Buff, Parchment, Burnt Sienna, Black and White. Golden Brand paints are my preference.)
Stabilo Woodys
A few brushes (flat and round)
Water jar + paper towel
